BBC unveils new show That Puppet Game Show
Worrying about what to watch when The Voice
comes to an end? Well, never fear, as the BBC has unveiled its next Saturday night series, due to hit the screen later this year. That Puppet Game Show
, hosted by the new face of Saturday nights, Dougie Colon, is a brand-new programme that will be fun for all the family.
Each week, two celebrities will battle it out in a series of bizarre games, to be in with a chance of taking home £10,000 for a charity of their choice. And the show has already pulled in big names to take part, including married couple Tess Daly and Vernon Kay
, TV host Claudia Winkleman, singer Katherine Jenkins and ex-cricketer Freddie Flintoff.
But that's not all. As well as having a stellar celeb line-up, the show will also follow the backstage antics of different puppet characters, who will no doubt have us in stitches.
Here at Best we think this bizarre new format could go one of two ways. It'll either go down a storm and be a hit that all the family can watch, or, as one potential viewer commented, it will prove 'a ratings disaster.'
But the last time we were this torn over a new programme was ITV's celebrity diving competition Splash
and that was a ratings hit, with a second series commissioned, so prepare to be surprised.
The show will debut on BBC1 later this year.
